An architecturally standout two-level chalet, Glasshouse is an uber-cool, designer-style five-bedroom stay with a gorgeous upper level with dramatic glass walls that look out from all sides to a glorious natural scene and uninterrupted views of Mount Yotei. Set in the Japanese ski resort of Niseko, in the area’s largest village Hirafu with its many bars and restaurants, a chalet stay includes daily pick-up and drop-off to the area’s family chairlift, the Grand Hirafu Gondola or a dinner reservation, with a private concierge service. Glasshouse was nominated for the World Ski Awards in both 2014 and 2015 and boasts a fabulous outdoor hot tub surrounded by snow in the season. The open-plan living space features full sofas and a real fireplace that hangs dramatically from the ceiling to create an artistic statement, as well as comfort and a feeling of chalet-chic. The uncluttered space opens out to an outdoor terrace with seating while soft lighting and a full kitchen with breakfast counter and bar stools add to the chalet’s sophisticated charm. A BBQ means delicious grill dinners can be prepared after a cold day on the slopes when wear gear is hanging up in the chalet’s ski dry room.
