Villa Cempaka is the first of the three beachfront villas of Siri Mendira, a private estate on Mendira Beach in East Bali. The 400 m² house stands on about 850 m² of landscaped garden facing the ocean. All four air-conditioned bedrooms — two on each floor — look out to sea. Each has a super-king bed (200 × 200 cm) with a mosquito net, generous wardrobe space, an in-room safe and an en-suite bathroom with both shower and bathtub. The 80 m² living room opens onto the 17-metre infinity pool and the ocean beyond, furnished with classic pieces and Balinese antiques, with a 42-inch TV (cable and DVD) and wifi. The dining table, carved from a single piece of wood, seats ten beside a fully equipped kitchen, and most guests take their meals in the bale — the open-sided Balinese pavilion between the pool and the sea. The estate is fully staffed — 18 people across its three villas, including an in-house manager, butlers, cooks, housekeeping, gardeners and 24-hour security — and the kitchen team will prepare local or western meals to order.
