Most of the Berawa villas we book are within a 10-minute walk of Finns Beach Club — through the gates, along Pantai Berawa, past the rice paddy that survived the development. The sunset section opens at four PM; book ahead for the cabanas.
Atlas (north of Finns) is louder. The day pool reads more Ibiza than Bali. Both have their hour. Most Berawa guests do Finns for the long lunch, Atlas for the night.
Berawa over the last three years has become Canggu's wellness capital: S2S Gym (the Mecca for Indonesian bodybuilders), the new pilates studios on Jalan Pantai Berawa, ice baths on the rooftops, the Bali Belly recovery spas. The cafés to go with: Coffee Cartel, Crate, Penny Lane, Milk & Madu — the morning order takes a minute to make and a minute to drink.
It's the Bali that exists if you ask the algorithm for Bali. Some travellers love it; some find it polished beyond recognition. Read the room.
Berawa has the larger land plots of greater Canggu — many villas are 4-7 bedrooms on half-acre compounds, with proper lap pools (not the splash variety) and full staff. The wedding-grade villas in Canggu are almost all in Berawa.
