Seven bedrooms for fourteen, and a calm house

Ocean Palm — 7-bedroom luxury estate in Pererenan, Bali | The Luxury Bali

Ocean Palm is a private seven-bedroom estate in Pererenan, on Canggu’s quieter western edge, about five minutes from the beach (5–10 by car) and around 45 minutes from the airport. Each of the seven bedrooms has its own bathroom and terrace, and the estate sleeps 14, booked whole, so the central garden, the lap pool with its jetted spa pool and the long table are the group’s alone.

The estate staff are there daily; a private chef cooks on request, and meals are charged separately. It is a calm house: no large parties or events. Booking is request-to-book: we confirm your dates with the estate, then send a secure payment link.

Counting bedrooms honestly

For a group, the bedroom count is the number that matters, and it is the one most often stretched. A sofa bed in the living room, a bunk room or an open pavilion can be counted as a bedroom, and a guest figure can rest on extra beds. Every house on this page shows the bedrooms and the guest maximum from its own record; before you book, ask us for the bed setup room by room.

Of the 212 listings here, 12 say they sleep more than two guests per bedroom: that means extra beds, sofa beds or bunks, so ask which rooms they are in. Some estates are also listed more than once, in different configurations, so count houses rather than listings.

What six, seven, eight and ten-plus bedrooms buy

Six bedrooms is the common large house: 111 listings, half of them from under $714 a night. It sleeps twelve in pairs, or two families with their children.

Seven and eight bedrooms (29 and 23 listings; half of them from under $1,018 and $1,355 a night respectively) leave a room spare for a nanny, a late arrival or a grandparent who wants quiet. Ocean Palm Estate is this size: seven bedrooms for up to 14.

At nine bedrooms and more (13 with nine, 36 with ten or more; half of them from under $1,377 a night), 14 of the 49 call themselves an estate or “villas” in their own name. Ask whether the bedrooms are in one house or several: it decides whether the group eats and swims together.

Prices are each house’s lowest nightly rate over the next twelve months, in US dollars; your dates set the exact rate on each villa’s page.

Estates booked whole, and estates made of several villas

Some large houses are one building; others are several villas behind one gate, let separately or together. Both work for a group, but they live differently: one house means one kitchen, one pool and one table, while a set of villas gives each family its own front door. Ocean Palm Estate in Pererenan is the first kind: one estate of seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and terrace, booked whole.

The second kind can appear in our list more than once. Lataliana Villas in Seminyak is three neighbouring villas, LA, TA and LI, let on their own or combined: it appears 15 times in our list, from two to 15 bedrooms. Shalimar Estate at Seseh is three separate villas, Cantik, Makanda and Kalima, with two, four and six bedrooms, each let on its own or all together as one 12-bedroom estate. Sohamsa Ocean Estate on the Bukit is the five-bedroom Villa Soham and the five-bedroom Villa Hamsa together; our calendars are linked, so booking the whole estate closes Villa Soham too. Uluwatu Estate above Nyang Nyang is let as all eight suites or as a four-bedroom configuration, and the two share one calendar.

Feeding a group

Twelve or fourteen people eat a great many meals, and how a house feeds them can change the cost of a stay as much as the nightly rate. A cook whose time is in the rate, a private chef with a fee for each meal and groceries on top, breakfast and nothing more: all three exist, and the listing does not always say which. Only 35 of the 212 listings here mention a chef or a cook in their own description, so ask us what each house includes before you plan the week.

At Ocean Palm Estate, a private chef cooks lunch and dinner on request, and meals are charged separately.

Calm houses and party houses

A big house in Canggu or Seminyak is not automatically a party house, and its house rules can say so: no events, a curfew on music, a cap on visitors. Ask for them before you book.

Ocean Palm Estate is a calm house: no large parties or events. It suits a family reunion, or friends who want a quiet week together around one long table.

If the trip is a celebration with music and a guest list, start with our party villas instead, and check each house’s quiet hours and guest cap with us before you book.
