Ocean Palm: Seven Bedrooms, Five Minutes from the Sea

Pererenan is the quiet side of Canggu: rice fields still in view, black-sand beaches a few minutes away, and good tables close by. Ocean Palm sits in the middle of it, a private seven-bedroom estate for fourteen on Canggu's quieter western edge, about five minutes from the sea by car. It is booked as a whole, so the gate, the garden and the pool belong to your group for the length of the stay.

Arrival

The house is built around arrival. A black stone gate, a covered walkway over still water beneath a timber canopy, and the lane goes quiet behind you. The staff are waiting at the door with a welcome drink, and the first thing you see is not a room but the planting: the estate is arranged around a garden at its centre, with decks and walkways tracing its edges and the rooms looking onto it.

The garden and the pavilions

The garden is not a backdrop; it stands in the middle of the house. The living pavilions have no fourth wall, so the sitting room, the long dark-timber dining table and the stone kitchen island all open onto the planting, the deck and the water. Beyond them, a lawn with daybeds and ponds of lilies gives the group somewhere to spread out that is not the pool. Inside, the palette is teak, rattan and linen, and the charred-timber facade keeps the house quiet against the green.

The pool and the spa pool

A jade-tiled lap pool runs the full length of the deck. Beside it, one step up, sits a smaller spa pool with jets set into its rim, with loungers and an umbrella alongside. The timber decks turn warm by late afternoon, and because the pavilions open straight onto the water, whoever is cooking or reading is never far from whoever is swimming.

Seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom

There are seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and each opening onto its own terrace, with light arriving from two sides. No one goes without a bathroom of their own, which is the arithmetic that lets fourteen people share a holiday without sharing a corridor. We confirm the bed set-up for each room with the estate when you book, so tell the concierge who is coming, from grandparents to teenagers.

Staff, and how the days run

The estate staff are there daily. Housekeeping comes every day, Wi-Fi and drinking water are part of the stay, and towels, linens and essentials are in every room. Spa treatments in the treatment room and private yoga can be arranged at extra cost. The rhythm is unhurried: a swim before breakfast, the beach or the surf in the afternoon, and everyone back for dinner at the long table.

Eating in

Meals are not part of the nightly rate. A private chef can be arranged on request to cook lunch and dinner at the estate, and meals are charged separately; ask the concierge for the current terms when you book, and agree the menus before you arrive. For fourteen people, dinner at home is often the easiest table in Pererenan to book, and the long table faces the pool and the courtyard.

Pererenan, around it

Outside the gate is Pererenan, the village on Canggu's quieter north-west edge. Pererenan Beach, black sand with a surf break, is about five minutes away by car, five to ten depending on the lane. Echo Beach and Batu Bolong, with La Brisa and the beach bars, are five to ten minutes; Seminyak is 25 to 45 minutes depending on the traffic, and the airport around 45 minutes, longer at the evening rush. Four privileges for guests who book direct

When to come, and what it costs

Rates are for the whole estate, per night, in Indonesian rupiah, as of 3 October 2026. They come from the estate's own rate calendar and can change, so the rate on the Ocean Palm Estate page for your dates is the one that counts.

• 1 to 14 December 2026: IDR 35,000,000
• 15 to 20 December 2026: IDR 40,000,000
• 21 to 25 December 2026: IDR 50,000,000
• 26 December 2026 to 3 January 2027: IDR 60,000,000
• 4 to 10 January 2027: IDR 45,000,000
• 11 January to 24 July 2027: IDR 35,000,000
• 25 July to 14 August 2027: IDR 40,000,000

The minimum stay is two nights, and five nights for arrivals from 16 December 2026 to 10 January 2027. October and November carry the lowest rate in the calendar; the festive weeks are the ones to book early. Paying by card adds 3%; a bank transfer does not.

How booking works

Ocean Palm is booked on request. Send the concierge your dates and the size of the group; we confirm the dates with the estate, then send a secure payment link, and nothing is charged before that. A deposit of 50% secures the stay and is non-refundable: cancel 45 days or more before arrival and everything else is refunded, while inside 45 days there is no refund. A refundable security deposit of IDR 25,000,000 is paid by bank transfer at check-in and returned within three business days, once the estate has been checked. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00.

House rules

Ocean Palm keeps a calm house: no large parties or events. It suits three generations under one roof, two or three families travelling together, or friends who want the same house and their own rooms.
