About this residence

This six-bedroom villa stands on a seventy-metre limestone cliff in Ungasan, on the Bukit peninsula in the Uluwatu area, directly above Melasti Beach. Arrival is gradual. Heavy timber doors open into a walled botanical courtyard, with a statement staircase and a reflecting pond in creamy limestone, and only then does the house open onto an uninterrupted view of the Indian Ocean.

There are six bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and the villa sleeps up to twelve guests. The bedrooms are set around a private infinity pool, which keeps the shared life of the house close to the water.

It suits a group of up to twelve travelling together, and the order of things from the front door says most of what matters here: courtyard, staircase, pond, pool and then the ocean.
